Bradford C. Berk, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Berk is Director at the Cardiovascular Research Institute and Charles A. Dewey Professor and Chairman of Medicine, University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Berk has clinical expertise in adult cardiology and scientific expertise in cardiovascular medicine, particularly vascular biology. 

Dave Glocker, Ph.D.

Dr. Glocker is President of Isoflux, Incorporated, a manufacturer of vacuum coating equipment. Dr. Glocker's career includes leadership positions in thin film research and development at British Petroleum and Eastman Kodak and he holds over 25 U.S. and foreign patents. He has published more than 30 papers on coating technology and is co-editor of the Handbook of Thin Film Process Technology, a major reference work in the field.

Herbert Hauptman, Ph.D.

Dr. Hautpman is a world-renowned mathematician who pioneered and developed a mathematical method used in research and determination of molecular structures of crystallized materials. He was awarded the 1985 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1988. He is President of the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute and Research professor in the Department of Biophysical Sciences and adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Science at SUNY-Buffalo.  Dr. Hauptman received his bachelor's degree from City College of New York, his master's degree from Columbia University and a doctorate degree from the University of Maryland.

Ray Kurzweil

Ray Kurzweil is a renowned scientist and futurist; author of five best-selling books including The Singularity is Near; awarded the National Medal of Technology; and inducted in the National Inventors Hall of Fame among many other honors. He is the inventor of the first CCD flat bed scanner, first omni-font optical character recognition, first text-to-speech synthesis, first print-to-speech reading machine, and first commercially marketed large vocabulary speech recognition, among other inventions. 

  Andreas Melzer, M.D.

Dr. Melzer is professor of applied biomedical engineering and Director and Chairman of the Board at the Institute for Medical Technologies and Management in Medicine INSITE med. at the University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. He also holds a clinical position as part-time staff radiologist at the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at St. Mary's Hospital Buer in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. He has co-invented more than 30 patents and has authored over 150 publications. Additionally, Dr. Melzer is engaged as co-organizer, chairman, and invited speaker of various medical conferences and is a board member of several medical societies, and professional committees.

Kevin Parker, Ph.D.

Dr. Parker is Dean and May Professor, University of Rochester School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; professor of radiology; and director at Rochester Center for Biomedical Ultrasound. He obtained his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1981.
Frank G. Shellock, Ph.D. 
Dr. Shellock is Adjunct Clinical Professor of Radiology and Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California and the Founder of the Institute for Magnetic Resonance Safety, Education, and Research (www.IMRSER.org). He is Director of MRI Studies of Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems (BMES) Implants, National Science Foundation, BMES Engineering Research Center. Dr. Shellock is a world-renowned expert on MRI safety. He created the internationally popular web site, www.MRIsafety.com. Dr. Shellock has authored six medical textbooks, over 60 book chapters, and more than 200 peer-reviewed articles. In 2004, the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine recognized the significant contributions Dr. Shellock has made to the scientific and educational mission of the ISMRM by designating him a Fellow of the Society. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Henry Spotnitz, M.D.

Dr. Spotnitz is the Professor of Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, George H. Humphreys, II, and Vice chairman, Research and Information Systems. He specializes in adult cardiac surgery and pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, including infants and children. Dr. Spotnitz is author of more than 160 peer reviewed publications, former member of the NIH Surgery and Bioengineering Study Section, past president of the New York Society for Thoracic Surgery and current president of the Surgical Biology Club of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. His current research focuses on optimization of biventricular pacing for acute and chronic heart failure, as well as effects of surgery for congenital heart disease on ventricular mechanics.

Jianhui Zhong, Ph.D.

Dr. Zhong is a Professor in Radiology, Physics, and Biomedical Engineering and Director of MRI Research in Radiology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics at Brown University, 1988.
